Eve has worked as a full time freelance writer since 1995, authoring or co-authoring books on subjects as various as yoga, the Mediterranean diet, and Labrador Retrievers, as well as hundreds of articles for animal companion, food, and lifestyle magazines.

An enthusiastic foodie and traveller, Eve also writes a travel blog called Eccentric Planet at eccentricplanet.blogspot.com, and a blog about food and yoga called Hungry Yogi, at hungryyogi.blogspot.com.

A multiple award-winning dog writer, Eve received the ASPCA Humane Issues award in 2006, the Hartz Doggy Glamour Award and the Hartz Joint Maintenance Senior Dog Award in 2005, and the Eukanuba Canine Health Award in 2004, plus five Dog Writer's Association of America Maxwell medallions. She is a contributing editor for Dog Fancy magazine and writes the Good Grooming column for AKC Family Dog magazine.

Eve earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in creative writing from the University of Florida and has published many poems in literary journals.  In 1990, she won an Associated Writing Programs Intro Award for poetry.

She is a member of the Author's Guild, the International Association of Culinary Professionals, the Dog Writer's Association of America, and the Cat Writer's Association.  She is also a board member for the City Circle Acting Company of Coralville.  Eve writes, cooks, practices yoga, and occasionally moonlights as a jazz singer and actor in Iowa City, Iowa, where she lives with her family.
